About
A Chartered Naval Architect with extensive experience in the design and analysis of ships and marine structures. Simon has assisted Owners and shipyards with advanced stability analysis of passenger ships, as well as design consultancy services covering structural design and safety engineering of newbuild and modifications of in-service ships. Having worked at a shipyard for four years and attended multiple damage surveys, he has knowledge of repair techniques to combine with his technical analysis skills and experience.
He has provided expert advice on a range of naval architecture-related claims: ship stability, structural failures, mooring incidents, collisions and allisions, shipbuilding disputes, loading disputes, cargo stowage and securing failures. He has experience of appearing before an arbitration tribunal.
Simon has attended a number of salvage and wreck removal projects, providing emergency response advice and technical support both on-site and remotely.
