Vessel and Marine Assurance

ABL Group provides a bespoke vessel assurance process to determine that a vessel and/or its equipment meet contract and operation-specific requirements. The assurance process may include a variety of disciplines and will vary from vessel to vessel depending on its contract specification, the work to be done and the risk it presents.

Worldwide provider of vessel assurance services

Typically, the objective is to determine the subject vessel is fit for purpose in all respects. This will include compliance with flag, class, operating area and charterer’s specification. Technical areas and disciplines include marine, dynamic positioning (DP), pipe-lay, lifting, dive and ROV arrangements and helideck to name a few.

ABL Group has developed in-house check forms to guide inspectors through the important elements of various systems to be assessed. We work closely with all parties providing a clear understandable concise summary supported by detailed technical and analytical reports. Follow-up and closure of any findings or comments is pursued to acceptance.

We offer a cost-effective and efficient service with the ability to draw on our wide international network of offices to complete surveys and inspections of vessels and marine assets anywhere in the world. Amongst our staff, we employ OVID and CMID inspectors.

ABL Group surveyors leverage the group’s broad experience and knowledge in marine operations across offshore renewables, oil & gas and maritime market sectors, along with the deepest pool of multi-disciplinary expertise across engineering and marine disciplines, to provide clients with a detailed assessment and fully tailored vessel assurance programme to suit their offshore activities.
