Energy and oceans
Energy and oceans are where the ABL Group conducts its work.
From with our long maritime legacy of over 150 years with the Salvage Association in the era of sailing ships and steam, to our deep involvement in the last four decades of the offshore oil and gas industry as they increasingly sought resources from locations with ever more remote and harsher environments to now helping to develop and construct offshore renewables in all parts of the globe and developing new clean marine propulsion systems; energy and oceans have been at the heart of the Group.
Energy and oceans are where we work and the world in which we live.
De-risking and driving the energy transition
Uniquely placed to support our customers through their energy transition journey, ABL Group continues to identify new ways to innovate.
- Supporting the development and realisation of offshore renewables
- As a pioneer and driver of clean shipping initiatives and technology
- Securing high-risk marine operations and limiting damage to the marine environment through its MWS and rig moving expertise
- Undertaking marine casualties, so deeply rooted in managing maritime risk since 1856
The Group has amassed significant expertise across its service offering, this provides a number of skills that customers in any market can draw upon.
Seek the truth
Quaerite vera – to seek the truth – is at the heart of all that we do and how we do it.
It is the core of our business, seeking the truth in terms of being an impartial third-party whether providing surveys, audits, inspections, analysis, engineering, opinion, loss adjusting or expert witness.
It is also at the heart of how we do business; we never compromise on quality and integrity and we are transparent and open in our business ethics.
Quaerite vera was the motto of the Salvage Association (now incorporated into the ABL Group) who were established in 1856 and originally incorporated by royal charter in 1867. Seeking the truth at the request of clients is still the core of our business.
