Our Participation:
ABL will showcase our study on ‘The Decarbonistaion of Tugs in Tanker Operations’, presented by Tamer Gamil, Egypt Country Manager.
This is a joint ABL Group and EGPC feasibility study into transitioning offshore oil and gas tanker operations to net-zero.
With focus on examining solutions to decarbonise tug boat operations supporting tankers to be zero-carbon operations by 2023, the results of the study will be applicable for the wider decarbonisation of EGPC’s Oli and Gas operations, and crucial to delivering Egypt’s net-zero target.
Through the study we evaluated:
- The feasibility of renewable energy options
- Conversions to hydrogen vs the direct use of electricity
- Storage, and use of alternative options
- Energy conversion options to fuel green tugs
Join Tamer’s presentation at COP27 to discover the results, evaluations and conclusions of the study.
