About
Steve Mason is the Marine Assurance Manager for ABL USA and is based out of the Houston office. He is Master Mariner with 25 years’ seagoing experience, including Marine and Shipyard Project Management in the offshore sector energy sector and is currently the Lead Marine Warranty Surveyor for US Renewables, providing support on wind farm development and maintenance projects in the North-eastern United States.
He started his career working on port expansion projects, after which he moved to the offshore energy sector, working on various types of vessels (DSV, OSV, PSV, MPSV). He progressed to the role of a Master Mariner and has experience working in the GOM, Latin Americas, and Africa. He is a Marine Management and Dynamic Positioning professional with experience and expertise in strategic planning, QHSE, project management, ISM regulations, risk assessments, process improvement, vessel operations, safety, and logistics.
