About
Nitin is the ABL London Principal Electrical and DP Engineer for DP and Critical System department. He is responsible for providing high level consultancy services to DP, MWS, engineering and energy-related services including net zero solutions. Nitin has over 26+ years’ experience in Engineering (Marine Vessels, Oil & Gas assets, Renewable etc.), FMEA Studies for Critical Systems such as Dynamic positioning, Cable lay, Jacking System, Tensioner etc. Vessel project management, marine consulting and third-party service for the oil and gas and renewables markets. Nitin previously held the positions of LOC (now ABL Group) London, He has previous served multinational companies such as Wood, DNVGL (Noble Denton), Global Maritime and Scientific Organization Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Indian Space Research Organization at various position.
Nitin has a wide range of experience in the engineering, net carbon hybrid system and DP warranty approval for offshore and onshore oil and gas and renewables projects. He has delivered engineering projects of drilling rigs, self-propelled DP2 Jack up vessel, Tanker to FPSO conversion, Pipe lay J-Lay vessel upgrade, brown field development and renewable projects of PV and Solar heating etc. He has delivered various high-level DP FMEA and Trials for Drill Ship, Semi Sub, PSV, OSV, SOV, AHTS and delivered system FMEA for Cable Lay System, Jacking system and Tensioner system. Recently, he has delivered concept engineering for Hybrid and Net Zero Port development projects that’s involves specification for Tugs, Pilot Boats, Line Handling Vessel, vessel traffic system (VTS) and its integration with port planning operations. He has also carried out E&I condition assessment of offshore vessels jacking System. He has delivered DP assurance works for large marine and renewable projects which involves complex operations delivered while vessel in DP such as offshore heavy lifts, loadouts, jacket installations, topsides loadouts and float overs, risers, flowlines and umbilical’s, large diameter pipelay (S-lay & J-lay), flexible pipe (reel lay), wind farms piles and turbine installation, access to windfarm and sub-station for maintenance.
He has also acted on a variety of P&I club and legal matters of vessel black outs, thruster issues, DP incidents including wet buckled and Jacking system.
Nitin is a Charted Engineer of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and advance user of ETAP software used for Electrical Power system Studies.
