About
Martin is an Honours degree level qualified Electrical and Electronic Engineer versed in Marine Control Systems and Drilling Control Systems. He is responsible for the provision of ABL Rig Inspection Services for Europe and Africa. He possesses 15 years of industry experience as lead auditor during inspection and acceptance of a variety of drilling rigs, including land rigs, jack-up, and latest-generation semi-submersible and drillship designs.
Academic engineering qualifications supplemented with various industry-recognised qualifications relating to CompEX hazardous area equipment and High Voltage/Low Voltage (HV/LV) switchgear, in addition to OEM Training in Drilling Control systems, both electrical and hydraulic, the latest Vessel Management Systems and state of the art Dynamic Positioning systems including their position reference systems.
