About
Luiz Picorelli holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, an MSc in Ocean Engineering from COPPE-UFRJ, an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a specialization in Commercial Shipping from the City of London Polytechnic.
With over 40 years of experience in the maritime industry, he brings extensive international exposure across the United States, England, China, Singapore, and the Philippines. He has held senior leadership roles as fleet and operations manager, with expertise covering commercial shipping, technical services, and logistics, including engagement with maritime authorities, flag administrations, and other industry stakeholders. He has a solid technical background, with experience in ship design at shipyard level and in R&D with the Brazilian Navy.
