Liu Qingzhong began his shipping career in 1989 after graduating from the Navigation Department of Shanghai Maritime University. During his nearly 20 years at sea, he served on general cargo ships, container ships and bulk carriers in roles from Assistant Office, Third Office, Second Office, Chief Mate to Captain. He joined London Offshore Consultants Qingdao China in February 2009 as a Marine Consultant. He has attended marine casualties and surveys on behalf of P&I Clubs, Admiralty Lawyers, Owners and Insurance interests including damage, condition/suitability/on and off-hire surveys and pre-purchase inspections.
