About
Emek is a Naval Architect and APAC Regional Operations Director based in Singapore. He has 7 years of management experience which also includes setting-up and successfully growing the German office of ABL as the General Manager.
He is a solution driven professional with 10+ years of international experience providing innovative solutions to wide range of challenging projects in Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas sectors worldwide. Recent years of his career had a focus in commercial, engineering and execution aspects of marine operations. He has prepared and reviewed contracts, calculations, drawings, method statements, as well as other project specific documents. Being in close contact with related stakeholders, he has also attended and supervised the loading, discharge and installation of special project cargoes, components for offshore wind farms, fixed oil platforms, floating production and storage units as well as pipelines.
Emek has worked as a project manager / director leading global multicultural and cross-functional teams serving several medium-large scale projects to ensure in-budget, safe, high-quality results and full customer satisfaction. Besides, in different functions, he has also taken part in modification, upgrade and repairs of barges and vessels cooperating closely with the involved stakeholders.
Furthermore, he carried out vessel surveys to assess the suitability for intended operations and compliance with applicable rules and quality standards. He has also been involved in various investigation cases and prepared reports for damages to vessels, equipment and/or cargoes.
Before joining ABL Group, he worked as Head of Projects Engineering with the T&I contractor Hansa Heavy Lift in Hamburg / Houston and prior to that he was with the EPCI company McDermott in Dubai.
