Donald MacMillan to lead ABL Middle East, North & South Africa & India

Donald MacMillan has been appointed to the new role of Regional Managing Director to ABL in the Middle East, North & South Africa and India (MENSA & India).

He takes on the role from Ben Lazenby, who has recently been promoted to lead ABL globally – reporting to the ABL Group CEO Reuben Segal.

“Donald combines long-term experience across the Middle East with a wealth of knowledge in maritime and offshore energy sectors. He takes on the position following successfully expanding ABL’s presence in Bahrain and establishing a new presence in Saudi Arabia. He’s now actively involved in expanding ABL’s wide technical offering in energy transition services to support the region’s initiatives in this field.”

Donald began his career at sea, where he reached the rank of Master before coming ashore following 14 years. Since then, he has amassed experience in surveying for both maritime and offshore oil & gas markets.

He has more than 10 years of experience working in the Middle East, with previous positions in Abu Dhabi and Qatar. He joined ABL as Country Manager for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 2018, successfully establishing ABL’s office in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
