Song Dan, Snr Naval Architect | Longitude Singapore
What do you do at Longitude?
At present I am employed as a naval architect. My job involves relevant design and calculation including performance, stability, and FEM analysis.
What inspired you to join the field you are in?
At university I majored in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. I became more and more interested in the field after several years of study and work.
What do you enjoy about working at Longitude?
To be able to fully utilize my professional experience and working in a variety of challenging projects with growth potential in marine & offshore.
What is the most exciting aspect of the energy transition for you?
The opportunity to be involved in the most advanced deep-water design, for instance in transitional technology in offshore oil and gas, in floating wind, and other projects.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Reading and sports, like badminton, running and hiking.
