The team at AqualisBraemar LOC shares the passion, vision and values for working in energy and the world’s oceans, de-risking and driving the energy transition. We are driven by the idea that the best work is born from professionalism, diligence… and fun. You know AqualisBraemar LOC, but do you know our team?
Damien Pasco, Project Manager | Longitude Singapore
What do you do at Longitude Engineering?
I work as a project manager on AqualisBraemar LOC’s multi-disciplinary projects and support the wider group in structuring project and tender support services such as cost and financial modelling. My role relies on being able to understand and challenge most topics and on working closely with my expert colleagues on various technical matters. In a nutshell, I communicate and extract the right information from my colleagues’ brilliant minds. I also play a major role in growing our multi-disciplinary business in the Asia Pacific region.
What excites you the most about our industry?
I really enjoy the intensity and variety that the offshore energy industry offers. I have been working in this industry since the start of my career and I believe it is thanks to the diversity of the industry that my early career started off at such a fast pace. Questioning challenges and opportunities across multiple market sectors, keeps me motivated to constantly challenge myself. I could be working for an investment bank on a technical due diligence one week and for an EPCI contractor on detailed installation procedures the following week.
What made you join Longitude Engineering?
I am a keen observer and was looking at gaining exposure to multiple new industries through consulting. Longitude Engineering, part of a major energy and marine consulting group and providing services in several sectors, proved to be a perfect fit. I had the chance to benefit from Longitude’s long track-record of supporting projects prior to joining the firm and knew how trusted and reliable their teams were. We are in a business built on trusted relationships and I am honoured to carry the torch for Longitude!
What do you do when you are not working?
I swapped my travel gear for cooking utensils in 2020 and it has mostly been a success. My wife and I have self-elected each other best cooks of 2020! As a family, we see it as a great way of challenging ourselves.
