About
Paul is a Chartered Civil Engineer specializing in Marine and Offshore work. He joined ABL Group in 1999 in London, and is now energy services director for Middle East, North Africa and India, based in Dubai.
Paul has broad experience with rigs, having been involved with new builds, dry transportations, modifications, conversions, upgrades, rig moves, geotechnical studies, site specific assessments, marine operations, suitability studies, punch through/damage investigations and demolition.
In the energy sector Paul has been Project Manager or Director for Marine Warranty Surveyor services on numerous on and offshore projects in the Persian Gulf and India. He has carried out document reviews and site attendances for the purposes of marine warranty for jackets, decks, pipelines, SPMs, risers, cranes, project equipment, FSOs and jack-up rigs.
Paul also specialises in fixed object damage investigations throughout the world and provides technical advice on the nature and extent of damage, repair solutions, quantum, and minimising consequential losses to insurers, P&I Clubs and lawyers. He has acted on damages to all types of infrastructure in ports and offshore including jetties, quay walls, sea islands, dolphins, locks, breakwaters, marinas, fendering, cranes and other quayside handling equipment, SPMs, jackets, decks, subsea pipelines, risers, cables, moorings, buoys and jack-ups.
