About
William joined ABL as a naval architect and casualty consultant in August 2026. Prior to working at ABL he worked for several other consultancies advising P&I clubs on salvage wreck removals as well as expert witness appointments.
His casualty experience includes high profile salvage and wreck removal projects, collisions, cargo damage throughout the world. He is on the SCR panel at Lloyd’s and has been appointed on several SCOPIC cases since 2022. He has attended on site during salvage and wreck removal operations in the capacity of company representative/technical advisor. He has led and participated in bid evaluations for large wreck removals focusing on technical feasibility and risk analysis.
As an expert witness he specialises in investigations of total losses and cargo losses arising from groundings, capsizes, collisions, cargo loss and collisions. He has given evidence in the court in the US as well as arbitration and high court in the UK.
