About Marine Technology Trust
Since 2005, the Marine Technology Trust has facilitated industry placements and internships for students by partnering with companies and organisations across the marine sector. These placements are made possible through financial awards provided by the charity, enabling students to gain practical experience in real-world settings.
Key Achievements:
- 67 companies and organisations have hosted student placements funded by the Trust
- £90,450 in total grants awarded to support students.
- 194 awards granted to young engineers for UK-based programmes since 1993.
- Numerous partnerships with universities including: University of Plymouth, University of Southampton, University of Strathclyde, Newcastle University
