What do you do at AqualisBraemar LOC?
I am a GSS (global support services) Case Manager based in London, but also working alongside all our worldwide offices.
We are a vital contact for Insurers, Owners, P&I Clubs and Charterers to name a few, in the reporting of new casualties. Our role is to set up the case file, ensuring all recorded details are accurate, manage the case from cradle to grave in an expertly and timely manner. We ensure the correct surveyor, with the correct skill set, is appointed, attends and reports within our clients’ guidelines, whilst maintaining an open line of communication with them.
For most, we are also the first point of contact of our surveyors, credit control and billing teams, of whom we work closely with to resolve enquiries, queries or requests.
What excites you the most about our industry?
The insurance industry is very much client based, so meeting new people and maintaining already established relationships plays a big part in why I do what I do. Each day is never the same, and the learning and developing of skills and knowledge is continuous and welcomed.
What made you join AqualisBraemar LOC?
Joining AqualisBraemar LOC was a change of career path – from previously working as an underwriter and a broker, my position now is a complete role reversal, giving me a more in depth technical perspective of marine claims.
What do you do when you are not working?
I have a daughter, of whom I am immensely proud of, we are best of friends. Between us we have 3 horses, and a dog. So I am blessed that we get to spend quality time with each other, when not working.
