Woochang Shim is a Senior Cable T&I Engineer at ABL with over a decade of cross-functional experience in the offshore wind, maritime, and oil & gas sectors. He specializes in the full lifecycle of offshore cable projects, from strategic development to on-site execution. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed complex EPCI interfaces and coordinated multi-disciplinary packages across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.
Currently he oversees project planning, technical document reviews, and project execution. His professional background includes significant roles at Developer and Cable contractor, where he led major offshore cable campaigns, including subsea cable laying, HDD works, and termination testing. He is recognized for his ability to align technical complexities with global codes and regulations while maintaining focus on HSE standards.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and is a certified Engineer in New and Renewable Energy. His technical expertise is complemented by a strong track record in risk mitigation and stakeholder coordination, ensuring the delivery of high-quality offshore projects on time and within budget.
