Francois Jooste is a Master Mariner with over 25-year experience in the maritime industry of which 20 years have been in the Oil and Gas industry, having sailed on bulk carriers & container vessels, and predominantly on anchor handling and towing vessels between 2003-2017. He is an accomplished and solutions-focused professional, with extensive experience in overall management aspects within the maritime service provider industry.
Jooste has been engaged in a number of damage, condition, and suitability surveys in the South- East Asia region on a wide range of Offshore vessels & MODU’s in addition to, having worked in the capacity of Barge Master on Accommodation/Installation barge in 2012. Further expertise includes Marine Casualty Investigation work, Marine Warranty Surveyor and understudy of Marine Representative & Rig Mover Assessor related work on ‘Jack- ups’, self-erecting tender barges & semi- submersible rig moves including loadout / offloading of HLV’s.
