About
Alessio Lombardi holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy.
As a Principal Electrical Engineer with 20 years of experience, he has worked across various industry sectors, including power generation, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, maritime, and oil & gas, covering roles such as designer, site manager, and consultant.
For more than a decade, Alessio has been involved in assurance activities for DP2 and DP3 vessels and their mission-critical systems, supporting both newbuilding projects and vessels in operation.
He has authored numerous publications and is an active member of the IMCA DP Committee.
Alessio currently serves as Global Director for DP and Critical Systems at ABL, where he continues to be hands-on in assurance projects as an IMCA-accredited DP practitioner.
