Poseidon Principles – Their Effect on the Future of the Insurance Industry

Consultant on Marine Decarbonisation at LOC, are speaking at a virtual event discussing the Poseidon Principles as the IMO’s roadmap to reducing carbon emissions in the shipping industry, and how their implementation is expected to influence the insurance industry moving forward.

LOC has taking an active role in consulting on market-wide integration of the Poseidon Principles, by developing a bespoke software solution for the secure and simple collection, management and assessment of data calculating carbon emissions across multi-vessel fleets. This portal is designed to facilitate future financial lending decisions taking into account the carbon footprint of a given fleet.
