International Conference on “Future Trends in the Maritime Industry”
On the 4th and 5th of April, the University of Southampton is hosting an alumni event marking ’50 years of Ship Science and its diverse contributions to industry’, open exclusively to ship science, nautical studies and maritime engineering sciences alumni. A diverse range of speakers will be discussing maritime technologies of the future and challenges facing the global maritime industry over the coming decades.
Ship Science is the name of the naval architecture degree that a large number of LOC and Longitude’s naval architects have completed. There will be a number of LOC employees attending from various offices:

On Thursday 4th of April at 11:15am-12:45pm, Andrew Squire will be chairing a panel session on commercial shipping/ship building, and Ian Cummins will be taking part as a member of the Energy panel. Then, from 16:00-16:45 Bob Cripps will be chairing a plenary for the Ship Science Alumni Forum.
