Norway’s Floating Offshore Wind Market: Opportunities & Risks

Norway holds significant promise as a floating offshore wind market, with its short-term readiness to develop floating offshore wind evaluated at 85.3% . Reasons for its promising potential include its high technical potential with an estimate capacity of 1,416 GW, ideal environmental conditions, and upcoming commitments for coastal area auctions, which will expand Norway’s current wind capacity by 4.5GW.

Looking down the road to further development, what opportunities does the expansion of Norway’s floating wind market promise, and what challenges are there to be aware of?

OWC‘s Managing Director, Katherine Phillips, is presenting a bite-sized technical seminar at SpareBank 1 offices, Oslo, Norway, to be in-person and livestreamed:

Opportunities & Risks in the Floating Offshore Wind Market

When: Wednesday 31st August, 9:30 – 10:30 AM CET

Where:

  • SpareBank 1, Olav Vs gate 5, Oslo Norway
  • Livestreamed – link to be confirmed

The seminar will begin with a short networking and coffee session, and will conclude with a Q&A.
