Webinar: August Marine Market Briefing
Register now for our August Market Briefing Webinar for maritime & insurance professionals and join our experts who will be discussing the current status of the Salvage Market and new developments in this sector.
The webinar is scheduled for Thursday 13th August at 11am UK.
Commercial and operational developments had already placed the salvage sector in a state of change pre-COVID. The restrictions imposed during this health crisis have further modified activity, and the services available, the range of choices for those in need and potentially timeliness of support.
In this webinar:
- We review the status of the market, identifying changes already seen or presaged prior to the COVID development, the current situation and potential future state
- We examine the impact on salvage providers and on those requiring such services as Owners or Insurers
- We also comment on the support services available to minimise the negative impact and continue to ensure efficient and successful outcomes
Jason Bennett, who will be delivering the main technical subject, started his career at sea before spending a number of years as a London based marine surveyor and consultant. Between 2005 and 2020 Jason worked directly in the salvage industry for leading global salvors. During this time he participated in many notable operations, leading teams in emergency response and wreck removal fields. He was also actively engaged in bodies helping shape the industry and its engagement with the wider sphere. Jason is an AqualisBraemar director based in the UK.
The session chairman will be Mark McGurran, Group MD of Marine Surveying & Consultancy, and the month’s casualty reports will be presented by Fena Boyle, surveyor, both from the London office.
