LOC Wins Contract for Remote Inspections and Surveying

LOC is pleased to announce it has won a contract with HCP, a company involved in the management of infrastructure and corporate assets, including hospitals, education, social housing, government departments, transport and power infrastructure, for the inspection and survey of a social housing tower block site in the North of England in order to identify and mitigate façade defects.

LOC will deploy a drone and a robotic inspection system to undertake inspections, creating visual and thermal images, which generate a highly accurate 3D model of the site, accessible through a digital platform. The platform enables the generation of reports, suitable for the asset owner and insurers, as well as the simple comparison with previous data and the direct integration of data into the client’s existing asset management software.

Advanced remote surveying is available through LOC Digital Services, part of the LOC Group. Surveys are tailored to meet client needs, offering a more efficient solution that is easier to interpret and integrate into existing systems and is less costly to undertake.

The offer is based on a unique combination of LOC’s over 40 years of field experience and expert knowledge, of surveying, audits and inspection, with our expanding expertise in software engineering and digital platforms via LOC’s digital arm. This advanced surveying model can be applied across multiple infrastructure assets, including marine vessels, on and offshore turbines, other ground and subsea structures, such as ports and harbours, and the interior and exterior of buildings.
