Egypt’s PMS engages ABL for offshore consultancy services

Energy and marine consultancy ABL has signed a three-year consultancy services contract with Petroleum Marine Services (PMS), continuing the parties’ collaboration across subsea, offshore and construction in Egypt and the Middle East region.

PMS was established in 2001 as independent entity subsidiary from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). The company is a key supplier of solutions and services for offshore construction projects of oil and gas field in Egypt and the region.

The terms of the consultancy services contract envisage collaboration across a wide range of marine surveying and offshore consultancy services.

“The extension of our collaboration follows numerous successful projects with PMS, supporting safety and performance through an integrated marine and consultancy services approach across deepwater and marine assets. We are proud to continue contributing to PMS’s projects.”

Tamer Gamil, ABL Country Manager, Egypt

Under the contract, ABL will combine its market-leading marine expertise in facilities and subsea with PMS’s in-country knowledge, broad capacity and marine operations expertise. In total, this will provide Egyptian oil and gas and marine clients with a holistic approach to offshore project delivery.

“We are proud to continue our journey with ABL. This agreement reinforces PMS’s position as a regional leader in offshore construction by integrating world class subsea experience into our service portfolio. Together, we are not just delivering projects – we are driving the efficiency and sustainable growth of Egypt’s energy sector.”

Walid Hegazy, PMS Chairman & CEO

In December last year, PMS and ABL announced that the companies were introducing a unified rig moving service in the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez, with the support of EGPC.

ABL is part of Oslo-listed global consultancy group ABL Group ASA.
