Capt. Darren Dumont joins our Houston office

AqualisBraemar is delighted to announce the addition of a new Master Mariner, Capt. Darren Dumont, to the growing team in our Houston office.

Capt. Dumont has over twenty years of operational seafaring experience and the past five years as a marine surveyor and consultant. He has served in leadership roles including time as ship’s Master, Class 1 Ships Pilot and project consultant on various vessel types including passenger vessels, chemical tankers, VLCC’s and offshore anchor handlers. As a certified appraiser, Darren has consulted on a wide range of due diligence projects for financial institutions, including fleet reviews and valuations. In his role as a surveyor, he has undertaken assignments for hull and machinery Underwriters and represented the interests of P&I Clubs.

Darren is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy with a BSc in Nautical Science, as well as a graduate of Lloyds Maritime Academy with a Higher National Diploma in Marine Surveying and Warranty Surveying.

He holds a USCG Unlimited Master of Steam and Motor Vessels (Class 1 Certificate of Competency) and also holds an FAA Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Pilot Rating for drone operations.

With his deep background and experience, Darren will be a fantastic addition to our technical team.
