AqualisBraemar supports World Oceans Day
At AqualisBraemar, energy and the oceans are at the centre of our business. The sustainability of both is vital for the future of our company and the world in which we operate.
Many of our staff, whether offshore wind professionals, master mariners, chief engineers or offshore engineers and surveyors, are passionate about the world’s oceans, and of course their wellbeing and the survival of their rich diversity.
“In Q1 this year, we made concrete commitments to ensure sustainability is at the heart of our business and its strategy and operations. We became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, and we launched our sustainability programme AqualisBraemar2030.” Said David Wells, AqualisBraemar CEO.
“The health of the oceans is hugely important to the planet and all forms of life. It is particularly important to our company, as specialist consultants to the offshore renewable and marine sectors, and incumbent on us to play our part in protecting this environment. As a small statement the whole management team of the Group has signed this petition, we call on the world’s leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030”.
World Oceans Day is a collaboration in conservation with a global network of leaders in 140 countries, providing resources for all to take action to restore and protect the ocean, and empowered by the World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council.
