AqualisBraemar supports UN Global Compact

By signalling this intent, AqualisBraemar commits to making the UN Global Compact, and its principles, part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of the company, and to engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly its sustainable development goals

“Energy and the oceans are at the centre of our business. The sustainability of both is vital for the future of our company and the world in which we operate and live. As a consultant to the energy, marine and insurance sectors, we are in a position to help provide solutions that can contribute towards meeting the sustainable development goals while also supporting the world’s energy and marine needs. Our aim is to use our business to contribute to a better environment, economy, and society,” says David Wells, CEO of AqualisBraemar ASA. “As an example we undertook consulted on 19 GW of offshore wind projects spanning Europe, Asia and the USA in 2019 alone.”

A key requirement for participation in UN Global Compact is the annual submission of a communication on progress (COP) that describes AqualisBraemar’s efforts to implement the ten principles. AqualisBraemar will report on progress within one year of joining the UN Global Compact.

AqualisBraemar ASA (OSE: Aqua) offers independent consultancy services to the offshore energy (oil & gas and renewables), shipping and insurance industries. The group employs specialist engineers, naval architects, master mariners, loss adjusters and technical consultants in 33 countries worldwide. AqualisBraemar ASA operates under three brands:

  • AqualisBraemar: a leading adjusting, marine and offshore consultancy to the energy, shipping and insurance industries.
  • AqualisBraemar Yacht Services: a specialised marine consultancy to the superyacht market.
  • OWC: an independent technical advisor, engineering and project management consultancy to the offshore renewables sector
