Gosia Halliday, HSEQ Manager | ABL Group
What do you do at ABL?
My role is as HSEQ Manager for ABL Group in Europe and Americas.
Overall I have been associated with the company for over 6 years. When I first joined it was about the challenge – the company was going through some great changes at the time and I am proud to have been part of those.
Since then, the role has evolved over the years, but at the heart of it there is the same principle of working with our teams to ensure that we work towards delivering to the highest quality, health, safety and environmental standards. This in turn helps to ensure that day-to-day we as a group are exceeding client requirements whilst ensuring the health and well-being of our staff and with minimal impact on the environment.
What excites you the most about our industry?
The challenge never ends – we are in such an ever growing industry and you are constantly learning from your colleagues. I find it fascinating being involved in some of the large scale projects or learning about new technologies and how we can support those.
What made you join ABL?
The variety of the day-to-day job and the people that we work with.
What do you do when you are not working?
As a full time working mum my day is very much divided between work, family and me! Exploring the world with a 3 year old puts life into perspective and is really captivating. I have recently finished a PGCert so I finally have some time to myself. In my new-found spare time, I either try some new local gym classes or I am sat with a book and good cup of tea – simple pleasures!
