Eojin Park, Senior Project Consultant / WTG Package Manager | OWC
What do you do at OWC?
I joined OWC in April 2022 as Senior project consultant and WTG package manager. As a Senior project consultant I work on the business development and project management to help the local developers with less experience in the offshore wind. I also help the global developers who are new to Korea to successfully achieve their goal within the manageable time and resource. While I support the local development projects, I also work on WTG relevant tasks such as WTG screening study, supporting ITT, reviewing condition of contract, interfacing WTG related components, TDD and so on.
What inspired you to go into the field you are in?
South Korea is one of the most active offshore wind markets in the world. With an explosion of interest in renewable energy and government’s encouraging policy, many projects are actively developing. With experience in WTG development and various tasks in other Oil & Gas sectors, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with the offshore wind market, not only in South Korea but also across the world.
What do you enjoy about working at OWC?
I am grateful to work with the greatest experts in the industry from across the globe. Their expertise are second to none, and always demonstrate an admirable attitude to their work. They are genuine professionals. Every project that we work on at OWC is different and dynamic, and I enjoy providing a tailored service to each and every client.
What is the most exciting aspect of the energy transition for you?
I always wanted to contribute to the global environmental efforts and initiatives. Working in the offshore wind industry allows me to be an active part of the change.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
In general, I spend time with my lovely family. It seems that COVID-19 is coming to an end, so I would like to travel with my family to visit the national treasures throughout South Korea.
