What do you do at ABL?
Surveys of different types and different vessels mainly on behalf of Hull & Machinery Underwriters, P&I Clubs, Marine Warranty Surveys, but also for on behalf of Owners if requested on a consultancy basis.
What inspired you to go into the field you are in?
I ave liked the sea and vessels since an early age. Thus I first became Engineer Officer onboard vessels, then Superintendent, end ended up where I am now, in ABL Piraeus (formerly Braemar/BMT).
What do you enjoy about working at ABL?
I enjoy that the next day is never like the previous. I meet different cases, different vessels and different people to co-operate with every day. I also enjoy the nice working environment, my colleagues, who are all so kind and the status of working in such a leading multinational group of companies.
What is the most exciting aspect of the energy transition for you?
Most importantly the prospect that the world will not be dependent on fossil fuels and accordingly the associated financial, geopolitical and environmental benefits. In addition the challenge of new technology that we will come across.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Spending time with my family and children, Having a good lunch/dinner with good friends, excursions in country side and especially swimming at sea. And typically football (soccer), movies, and nice cars.
