Add Energy educates on CCS capabilities ahead of ADIPEC 2022

In 2019, Add Energy added carbon capture sequestration (CCS) services as a solution alongside decommissioning. Led by the drilling and wells division, they have been expertly advising on how this can be a robust opportunity that not only minimizes carbon emissions into the atmosphere but potentially repurposes clients’ existing infrastructure.

This comes at a vital time when more has to be done to reach global net zero targets and we’re excited for Add Energy to be joining ABL in attending one of the world’s most influential energy events, ADIPEC 2022, to help showcase the group’s experience in this field. Taking place in Abu Dhabi from October 31st until November 3rd, 2022, this year’s theme is ‘The future of energy: secure, affordable and sustainable’ and we look forward to educating companies on how they can carry out these important projects without sacrificing internal resources and operations.

Executive Vice President of Operations at Add Energy, Eduardo Robaina will be presenting at this year’s ADIPEC event with a focus on assessing the integrity of mature fields and the opportunity to repurpose assets for CCS opportunities. Throughout, he will explain more about transferring system integrity knowledge from the hydrocarbon industry to ensure successful sequestration and disposal of carbon safely and efficiently. Case studies will be shared during the presentation and Eduardo will cover more about Add Energy’s CCS and decommissioning services.

Attending this large-scale event is a great opportunity to start a relationship where we can go on to provide a gap analysis, showing them their risks and opportunities and provide a CCS framework that helps visualize how it would look and what needs to be done. It’s also a way for operators to determine the investment potential of their assets. Ultimately, as a bespoke engineering group, Add Energy wants to raise awareness of the many ways you can deal with excess carbon and educate operators that there are options available to reach their targets.
