New Marine Operations Manager for Aberdeen
AqualisBraemar is delighted to announce that Andy Ritchie will be joining the Aberdeen office as full-time Marine Operations Manager on Monday 11th November. Andy is a well-known figure in the maritime community in the North East of Scotland. For many years he was the owner/skipper of the MFV Illustrious sailing out of Peterhead. Following the government’s fishing boat decommissioning scheme Andy moved into the offshore sector sailing as Chief Officer/Master with companies such as Havila, Ocean Mainport and Sartor Rescue. He then had a period in marine consultancy before joining Atlantic Offshore ending up as Fleet Operations Manager.
Andy will be supported in his new position by Maurice Pickles, who will continue his preferred part-time role. Together Andy and Maurice will provide a wealth of marine expertise to existing and potential new future clients. They will be able to draw on the full engineering capability of the AqualisBraemar Group including naval architectural services, jack-up engineering, geotechnical assessments, transportation and installation (T&I) engineering, marine warranty reviews, etc. This ties in with the company’s plan to expand the range of services offered out of Aberdeen.
