Marine Accident Data Analysis Suite (MADAS) technology now offered in LOC London and LOC Singapore

LOC Group, the international marine and engineering consulting firm, is pleased to confirm that, following the appointment of Christopher Cox, a Maritime Electronic Data Analyst, the Group’s Marine Accident Data Analysis Suite (“MADAS”) technology, already in use for 4 years in LOC London, is now fully functioning out of LOC Singapore.

MADAS offers the technology to analyse and cross-reference various data sources including VDR (Voyage Data Recorders), AIS (Automatic Identification Systems), ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display & Information System), and VTS (Vessel Traffic Services), with the objective of determining precise causes of a marine incident.

LOC Shipping plans to further expand the offering of this technology, so it will be made available across the wider Group in the near future.

Christopher joins LOC Singapore after11 years as a Software Engineer. His role included designing software to analyse datasets and leading several projects which utilised MADAS software. Christopher graduated from the University of Southampton in 2008 with a degree in Software Engineering.
