About
Yuichi Nakayama, with a background in naval architecture and marine engineering, has been with one of the major ship classification societies for nine years, where he gained experience as a material and component surveyor and ship new building surveyor. As a project manager, he successfully oversaw the construction of two VLOCs, three open / semi-open hatch vessels, six Ice-class vessels, two Caustic Soda carriers, and a Seismographic Research Vessel.
Thereafter, he spent 9 years with several marine survey companies as a marine surveyor assisting domestic and international clients, gaining experience in hull and machinery surveys, condition surveys, single voyage approval, MWS, pre-purchase inspection, and damage to fixed and floating objects such as wharfs, cranes, fishing nets, etc.
