ABL Middle East 5th Marine & Energy Yard Familiarisation Course

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our 5th Marine & Energy Yard Familiarisation Course in collaboration with the ABL Group.

The three-day program, part of our continuous efforts for collaboration, education and innovation with key players in the industry, hosted a diverse group of insurance companies for an insightful presentation of our facilities and operations. We. We showcased our capabilities to repair, maintain and upgrade vessels/ rigs as well as conversion and new fabrication works for offshore industry.

ABL’s engaging presentations covered ship and offshore construction, conversion and repair, marine and offshore energy casualties, and the crucial role of Marine Surveyors.

These sessions provided valuable knowledge, deepening understanding of critical aspects of maritime and offshore operations.

The participants embarked on a comprehensive tour of our facilities, including docks and major workshops showcasing our advanced capabilities. Highlight of this tour include planned visits onboard a self-elevating platform, a tanker and an FSO, which offered insights into these vital maritime assets’ intricate maintenance, upgrade and modification works and the associated yard operations.

In addition, the participants also experienced Jebel Ali Port’s bustling activities through guided bus and small boat tours, which highlighted its extensive container, RO/RO, and bulk terminals, courtesy of P&O Maritime. The visit extended to Dubai Maritime City, showcasing its repair facilities and Mubarak Marine operational vessels.

The program’s success was made possible by the enthusiastic participation of the attendees and the dedicated support of our team along with members from the ABL Group.
