Add Energy’s Canadian Office Secures Significant Business Wins
The Calgary office of Add Energy’s Asset Integrity and Management (AIM) division has defied the global downturn to secure almost $2.9M USD worth of new business contracts within 6 months of launching.
The team, based in Suncor Energy’s building in downtown Calgary, has announced new contracts with 3 oil and gas companies to deliver inventory management optimisation solutions, physical data capture and verification services and maintenance improvement plans.
A key team of maintenance experts from Aberdeen and Houston have been on secondment to Calgary since the new office opened in March 2020 to share industry experience and support with new projects. It is expected that a further 10 roles could be created over the next 12 months as the business continues to expand – with additional graduate placements also to be created locally.
Afia McClenaghan, Commercial Manager at Add Energy AIM said, “We’re excited by how well our unrivalled expertise and unique technology solutions have been received by the Canadian market so far. I believe that our ability to demonstrate the projected safety assurance, cost savings and efficiency gains that our services can deliver was instrumental in our clients investing in us to help during such difficult times.
“When we first opened the office at the start of the year, we could not have predicted the challenges we would face. But I am proud to say that every member of our team has shown huge resilience during what has been an incredibly demanding time for everyone.”
Add Energy’s AIM team has already undertaken significant work in the region, delivering maintenance optimisation and training services for an oil and gas super major, a project which achieved significant cost savings and improvements in their equipment safety and performance.
Susan Steyn, Vice President of the Americas, Add Energy AIM, added, “I am very encouraged by the early successes of the Canadian office which support our strategic growth plans for the North American operations of Add Energy. Operating in such uncertain times as we are, we feel extremely fortunate to see our business going from strength to strength and look forward to continued achievements as we move forward.”
With offices in Aberdeen, Norway, Perth, Saudi Arabia, Houston, Muscat, and now Calgary, the fast growing business – a part of the Add Energy Group – provides innovative consultancy and software solutions to clients worldwide to optimise asset performance in sectors including oil and gas, power generation, mining, manufacturing and chemicals.
