LOC Announces contract award with Borr Drilling: a strong start to 2019 with multiple contract wins

LOC Group is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Borr Drilling (“Borr”), an international drilling contractor to the oil gas industry, for Marine Warranty Surveyor (“MWS”) services which commenced on Borr’s Norve and Frigg rigs, currently located in West Africa.  LOC has also won a contract to conduct the reactivation surveys on three of Borr’s drilling rigs in Singapore.

The MWS services for rig moving of the Norve and Frigg rigs are already underway and LOC’s office in Nigeria is ready to support more of Borr’s rigs that are expected to work there in 2019.  The reactivation surveys commenced in early January 2019 on rig Odin which was completed by mid January to meet a fast track schedule for its mobilisation.

These contract awards mark a strong start to the year by LOC, with the Group also signing rig survey and MWS agreements with Perenco, Foresight Offshore Drilling Limited S.A, Pacific Drilling, Gulf Marine Services (GMS) and Aban Offshore over recent weeks.

Since LOC acquired John LeBourhis & Associates in 2017, the Group has increased its services offering to the offshore oil and gas industry and in 2018 was the MWS on more than 400 rig moves.  LOC offers worldwide rig moving expertise and has increased its global footprint, with offices in Stavanger, Aberdeen, Houston, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, India, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria and Perth.
