Frans was a Dual officer Chief engineer and Master mariner capability and sailed on RoRo and Product tankers and 20+ years with the major Container lines in the capacity of Chief Officer and First Engineer on small 2000 Teu and Large 7000 Teu Container vessels. After his sea-going carrier, worked 8 years with a Domestic Canadian Survey company part of the Lloyds Agency network conducting cargo surveys, Flag-state inspections H&M and P&I club entry inspections and is a member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying. Frans gained an MSc. in Marine Surveying at Middlesex University. Frans gained his Ship Recycling HAzmat Expert certificate (RINA) in 2020.
