Kenneth Ibeneme Appointed Country Manager for ABL Nigeria
ABL has appointed Kenneth Ibeneme as Country Manager for ABL Nigeria, succeeding Philip Atetibi.
With Kenneth stepping into the Country Manager role and Philip continuing to support the business as Lead Marine Consultant, the team is well positioned to continue growing its impact across Nigeria and the wider West African region, delivering high‑quality technical support for our clients with an expanded breadth of expertise.
Since joining ABL in 2024, Kenneth has played a central role in expanding and diversifying the company’s operations in Nigeria. As a licensed electrical engineer and experienced project manager with nearly 30 years in the oil and gas sector, Kenneth has worked across both onshore and deepwater offshore environments.

Commenting on the appointment, Shai Tzucker, Sub-Regional Director for West Africa, said:
“Kenneth has already demonstrated the impact he can make in Nigeria, from expanding our commercial reach to strengthening our asset integrity offering. His depth of technical knowledge, operational leadership and understanding of the local market make him very well placed to lead ABL Nigeria into its next phase of growth.”
Kenneth’s technical and operational background spans asset integrity management, operational leadership, project operations readiness and commissioning, reliability and maintenance, safety integrity, business performance improvement, operational excellence, and technical authority responsibilities for maintenance systems on major projects.

Reflecting on his new role, Kenneth Ibeneme added:
“ABL Nigeria has a strong legacy and an exciting future. I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the foundations already in place and to work with such a capable team as we continue to grow the business in a way that adds real value for our clients.”
As part of the leadership transition, Philip will remain with ABL as Lead Marine Consultant, ensuring the business continues to benefit from his extensive technical expertise, deep regional knowledge and long-standing client relationships.
“Philip has played a foundational role in establishing and building ABL’s presence in Nigeria. His continued involvement in a senior consultancy capacity will provide valuable continuity and support, enhancing ABL’s ability to offer consistent, trusted guidance and specialist marine expertise to clients as the business enters its next phase of growth.” Adds Shai Tzucker.
