About
Darren is a Naval Architect for ABL Group based in Vancouver, Canada. Specialising in MWS, H&M and P&I claims, engineering design, and client representative roles in both offshore and onshore locations, his experience started in 2012 where he served in a MWS role on the Gulf Coast of the United States before relocating to the United Arab Emirates, focusing on the oil and gas industry.
He has been responsible for the delivery of Marine Warranty Services for numerous large projects including Anadarko Lucius, LLOG Delta House and several large projects for Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation. He has gathered extensive experience with offshore platform and subsea installations, but has been involved with various wet tows, dry transports, loadouts, condition surveys, and P&I claims.
Prior to joining ABL in 2025, Darren focused on engineering during his time at a design firm, primarily on structural design and naval architecture tasks for military and coast guard vessels.
