Ashwin L. Parambath is a distinguished marine structural engineer and naval architect with over 15 years of experience in coastal and offshore infrastructure. A graduate of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (B.Tech in Civil Engineering), Texas A&M University (MS in Ocean Engineering), and Rice University (MBA), Ashwin’s multidisciplinary background has equipped him to tackle some of the most complex challenges in marine engineering.
With extensive experience in ports and marine terminals, Ashwin has played a pivotal role in the design, rehabilitation, and inspection of a wide range of facilities, including bulk terminals, container terminals, cruise terminals, and oil and gas berths. His work spans structural design, mooring analysis, and compliance with industry standards to optimize terminal performance and resilience. Ashwin’s expertise extends to managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering solutions that meet both operational and environmental demands.
Additionally, Ashwin has significant experience in deepwater oil and gas projects in the Gulf of Mexico, where he has contributed to the design and installation of offshore platforms and mooring systems. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, he has led critical infrastructure projects in these states, with a focus on ports and marine terminals in Florida, Texas, and California.
Ashwin has been happily married to his wife, Vijisha, for 12 years and is a proud father to his 9-year-old daughter, Naina. A lover of creativity and the outdoors, Ashwin enjoys gardening, fishing, and building wooden furniture in his free time.
