LOC Aberdeen cements position as a leading provider of MWS in Scottish North Sea Energy Projects

LOC Aberdeen, part of LOC Group, the premier international marine and engineering consulting firm, is pleased to announce it has been awarded two distinguished oil and gas contracts this year, cementing LOC’s position as a leading provider of Marine Warranty Survey (“MWS”), marine and vessel assurance and marine engineering services across the Scottish North Sea Energy developments.

The two new contracts, which will take place off the coast of Aberdeen, follow several other vessel assurance contract wins and a busy year supporting offshore wind projects in the region, some of which include service delivery across several countries.

In response to new technical challenges and travel complexities brought on by COVID-19, LOC Aberdeen has developed robust remote procedures, where applicable, for delivering vessel assurance and suitability surveys of project vessels to minimise time onboard and reduce the risk of COVID transfer to the project. LOC has also drawn on the extensive network of pre-vetted specialised consultants across over 200 locations worldwide, to ensure project milestones and objectives are met on time.

Furthermore, LOC Aberdeen has been awarded contracts supporting local, national, and international businesses in energy development projects including on-hire vessel inspections, FMEA and FMECA services, DP trials, GAP analysis services amongst others.
