The role

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the ABL Group Marketing Team with day-to-day administration and coordination of marketing activity including event delivery. They will support the group marketing manager in the delivery of various strategies and tasks to drive the group’s marketing and communications’ goals.

They will also be part of our highly energetic global marketing team and will support in creative mind-mapping of new ideas and strategic content creation, whilst supporting in driving data-led solutions by compiling and reporting on key marketing data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction of the group marketing manager to help reach ABL Group’s marketing objectives and deliverables
  • Helps maintain social media accounts for ABL Group brands
  • Assists in web-content maintenance for ABL Group brands
  • Supports in planning, execution and delivery of events, incl. monthly hybrid seminars
  • Supports in production of marketing materials i.e. banner design and printing, merchandising, stand design and printing etc.
  • Coordinates 3rd party stakeholder relationships, i.e. printers, merchandisers, membership organisations and group-held subscriptions
  • Creates graphs, reports, and data analysis for regular KPI reporting
  • Assists in marketing collateral creation i.e. capability statements, case studies, brochures, fliers etc.
  • Coordinates global job track-record lists
  • Copy-editing, fact-checking and formatting assistance
  • Research market trends, demographics, pricing strategies, and other relevant information that helps develop marketing plans
  • Keeps client information confidential

Qualifications and Experience Required

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role as a marketing assistant or administrator
  • Educated to Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ideally experience of a professional services firm (consultancy, lawyers, accountants etc)
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation and organisation with attention to detail
  • High degree of computer literacy to include competence in MS Office applications
  • Highly skilled in using Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Skilled in research and analysis
  • Skilled in proof reading
  • Experience in Google Analytics and other web analytics tools is desirable
  • Experience with CRM tools is desirable

General requirements

  • Ideally the role is based in London, there will be the flexibility of home working and office working, to be decided by the line manager and needs of the business
  • Candidate must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • French, German, Chinese or another European language is an advantage
  • Hours are flexible (subject to the above) but a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Start date: ASAP
