About
Constantinos Stathakis is a Master Mariner with over 13 years’ experience, having sailed as Captain before coming ashore.
During his time at sea, he sailed on a variety of tankers, such as clean/dirty Product Carriers, Aframaxes and VLCCs, gaining valuable experience in day-to-day operations and maintenance, including but not limited to cargo preparation, cargo commingling, tank cleaning and assessment of tank coating condition. As part of his duties, he gained great experience in the maintenance and inspection of safety and fire-fighting equipment used onboard tankers. He is fully aware of ISPS requirements onboard and ashore and has published an article on maritime security. Has also been involved in drydock preparation and supervision of repairs in European yards.
Constantinos previously applied his seagoing expertise to shore-based positions focusing on HSQE, internal audits, monitoring vessel maintenance, budget control, SMS review, as well as the OCIMF programme of Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) and Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE).
