LOC Group, the leading international engineering and marine consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Mason<\/a>, as DP Manager to LOC Houston<\/a>, where he is based.<\/p>\n

His appointment will further strengthen LOCs existing Dynamic Positioning (\u201cDP\u201d) capabilities<\/a> and will support the delivery of the Company\u2019s remote Dynamic Positioning inspection service<\/a>, which is available worldwide, across the Group\u2019s offices.<\/p>\n

Steve is a Master Mariner<\/a>, with over 25 years seagoing experience, across DP vessel assurance, vessel & DP operations manuals, vessel inspections<\/a>, shipyard construction and retrofitting, marine operations and maintenance systems. He has worked across various types of vessels, including diving support vessels, offshore support vessels, platform support vessels and multi-purpose supply vessels.<\/p>\n

He joins LOC from Hornbeck Offshore, where he was a Master for 8 years. Prior to that, Steve was a Master at Cal Dive International, a Port Captain and Project Manager at Silvetti Marine Services and a Project Manager at Envirotest LLC. He will also drive further development of our DP service offering and expertise across LOC\u2019s operations in The Americas<\/a>, including Brazil<\/a>, Mexico<\/a> and Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSteve will add to our already growing strength in dynamic positioning inspections and trials.
