This new service is an extension of the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/services\/loss-prevention\/surveys-inspections-audits\/dynamic-positioning\/\">DP<\/a> inspection offer.<\/p>\n<p>The remote service enables clients to meet DP systems compliance more efficiently, quickly and cost effectively at this time. The service has the flexibility to cover different technologies, depending on the client\u2019s preference. The test programme can be spread over time to meet the vessel\u2019s needs and to work around commercial and other commitments, such as charters.<\/p>\n<p>The offer is based on the use of integrated technology, allowing continuous, real time <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/news\/loc-digital-launches-3d-digital-inspection-offering\/\">remote<\/a> monitoring, with the trials undertaken by the vessel, in the usual way. The offer can be extended to review the recorded trials data where data communication becomes an issue. This approach ensures clients receive the same level of precision, technical knowhow and expertise as LOC\u2019s traditional \u2018in person\u2019 DP offer.<\/p>\n<p>The remote DP inspection service is available to clients from <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/offices\/\">all of LOC\u2019s worldwide offices<\/a>. Furthermore, LOC is continuing to resource physical surveys, on site attendances, offshore and onshore via its <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/news\/covid-19-response-locs-191-locations-55-countries\/\">global network of specialist consultants based across 191 locations and 55 countries.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Commenting, <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/sen-abhayasinghe\/\">Sen Abhayasinghe<\/a>, Group Technical Authority for DP Services at LOC Group, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis offer gives DP ship owners a solution, that is efficient and cost effective, that meets DP trial compliance, during the current travel restrictions and beyond.
