{"id":55548,"date":"2024-02-13T11:18:40","date_gmt":"2024-02-13T11:18:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=55548"},"modified":"2024-02-13T11:20:11","modified_gmt":"2024-02-13T11:20:11","slug":"abl-completes-german-subsea-pipeline-installation-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-completes-german-subsea-pipeline-installation-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ABL completes German subsea pipeline installation project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Global energy and marine consultancy <\/strong><strong>ABL has recently finalised its <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/loss-prevention\/marine-warranty-survey\/mws-oil-and-gas\/\"><strong>marine warranty survey<\/strong><\/a><strong> scope in connection with the successful installation of <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gascade.de\/en\/press\/press-releases\/press-release\/construction-work-on-the-ostsee-anbindungsleitung-oal-can-begin\"><strong>Germany\u2019s Ostsee Anbindungsleitung (OAL) subsea pipeline<\/strong><\/a><strong>, with the first gas feed-in expected imminently.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL was contracted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gascade.de\/en\/\">GASCADE Gastransport GmbH<\/a> (GASCADE) to provide marine warranty survey (MWS) services to oversee the transportation and installation (T&amp;I) operations relating to the 50 kilometre long 48-inch subsea pipeline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pipeline connects the planned LNG terminal in the port of Mukran with the German pipeline network in Lubmin. ABL has a long history acting as marine warranty surveyor as well as engineering and marine consultant for the installation of some of the world&#8217;s most significant subsea pipeline projects. We are very pleased to lend our expertise to support this project offshore Germany.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>Sergio Leone, ABL&#8217;s MWS tender and project manager for the OAL pipeline project<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The above water tie-in was recently completed signalling the end of the subsea construction phase and the successful construction of the OAL within a short timeframe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;This means that the ambitious goal of enabling gas feed-ins into this pipeline in the winter of 2023\/24 has been achieved. This is the contribution we can make as a transmission system operator to improving German and European security of supply and its resilience to crises. Despite a very ambitious schedule, we managed to complete the OAL in record time. My sincere thanks go to all those involved in the implementation.&#8221; <\/p>\n<cite>Ulrich Benterbusch, Managing Director of GASC ADE <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Day-to-day management of the project was coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/location\/germany\/?company=0&amp;post_type=office&amp;submit=Search\">ABL\u2019s team in Germany<\/a>, based in Hamburg.
