{"id":46231,"date":"2023-07-27T14:07:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T13:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=46231"},"modified":"2023-07-27T14:07:17","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T13:07:17","slug":"abl-completes-scope-on-uae-pilot-wind-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-completes-scope-on-uae-pilot-wind-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"ABL completes scope on UAE Pilot Wind Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ABL has successfully completed its delivery of <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/loss-prevention\/marine-warranty-survey\/mws-renewables\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marine warranty survey (MWS)<\/a> services for the transportation of 23 Wind farm components from China to United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the country\u2019s Wind Program Project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-1024x724.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45256\" width=\"356\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-1024x724.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-768x543.jpg 768w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-1536x1086.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/windfarm-2048x1448.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The project involved the marine transportation of 23 wind turbine generator (WTG) systems for the UAE\u2019s pilot onshore wind farm project, to include four separate sites. \u00a0The onshore wind project is being developed by Al Dhafra for Wind Energy, a company wholly owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/masdar.ae\/\">Abu Dhabi Future Energy company (ADFEC- MASDAR)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL was appointed as marine warranty surveyor (MWS) by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.powerchina.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Power Construction Corporation of China Ltd<\/a>&#8211; Abu Dhabi Branch and its entity HDEC (Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited), which was the EPC contractor engaged to engineer, construct, operate and maintain the WTGs on site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s scope of work included reviewing, monitoring and approving the loadouts in China, the marine transportation, and discharge of all 23 WTG components in UAE. In the UAE, the components were loaded onto barges and transhipped to local ports before they were transported by land to the project sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s office in Shanghai, China, was contracted as the marine warranty surveyor on the project, supported by ABL\u2019s offices in UAE, which completed the marine warranty scope in the UAE. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Paul-Miles.jpg\" alt=\"Paul Miles\" class=\"wp-image-18237\" width=\"206\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Paul-Miles.jpg 500w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Paul-Miles-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Paul-Miles-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 206px) 100vw, 206px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The project highlights the strength of ABL&#8217;s global footprint, with seamless warranty support provided from our Shanghai and UAE offices.
